Account Executive – Northern California (Remote)

About the Role

Join Accela's regional Sales team as an Account Executive managing the complete sales cycle for mid-sized government jurisdictions in Northern California. You'll own prospecting, qualifying, negotiating, and closing deals while building and expanding your book of business in a fast-paced, remote-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full sales cycle including prospecting, qualifying, negotiating, and closing deals for mid-size jurisdictions in Northern California
• Maintain and grow revenue from existing and prospect customers through solution selling and cross-selling opportunities
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers in customer and prospect organizations
• Identify customer needs and tailor solutions to address them
• Maintain accurate forecasts and CRM records
• Lead and contribute to RFP responses
• Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to ensure customer satisfaction
• Meet annual sales targets

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2–4 years of sales experience, preferably selling software to state and local governments
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Strong sense of urgency, accountability, and time management
• Proficiency with CRM software and sales tools
• Experience qualifying new opportunities and forecasting accurately
• Ability to travel in excess of 50%
