The Role

We're seeking an AI Automation Engineer to join our South American office as a consultant. This is a high-impact position as we build out our Applied AI services and deliver measurable business value to enterprise clients.

In this role, you'll be the bridge between business and technology—comfortable translating client pain points into AI-powered solutions. You'll own the entire project lifecycle: from client discovery and workflow analysis through implementation, deployment, and post-launch optimization. You'll work directly with non-technical stakeholders, build compelling business cases for automation, and have the judgment to recommend when AI is and isn't the right solution.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct structured discovery sessions to map workflows, identify pain points, and uncover manual bottlenecks
• Evaluate AI automation opportunities with honest assessment of feasibility and business impact
• Build data-driven business cases showing time savings, error reduction, and cost impact
• Prioritize automation roadmaps based on ROI, feasibility, and organizational readiness
• Develop working automations using industry tools: n8n, Zapier, Make, LangChain, and custom Python pipelines
• Integrate LLMs (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini) into business tools, data pipelines, and internal processes
• Write clean, maintainable production code in Python, with JavaScript/TypeScript as needed
• Monitor, maintain, and continuously improve automations post-deployment
• Maintain stakeholder trust through clear communication and reliable delivery

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of engineering experience, including 1–2 years working with AI/LLM tools in production environments
• 3+ years working with APIs, webhooks, and data transformation workflows
• 2+ years of professional Python development
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with workflow automation platforms (n8n, Zapier, Make, or equivalent)
• Proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript
• Proven track record collaborating with non-technical stakeholders—you can facilitate discovery sessions, not just standups
• Strong business acumen and ability to translate technical capabilities into business value
