About the Role
The Global Sourcing Manager, Aircraft Composites is a domain expert position responsible for composites commodities at Anduril Industries. This high-impact role secures critical components, materials, and services that power defense products. You will develop new supplier and sourcing partnerships for both new and existing products, improving technology, cost, and quality while managing cross-functional evaluations and ensuring robust commercial agreements and intellectual property protection.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute commodity strategies for composites, focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, and supply chain resilience
- Own end-to-end responsibility for delivering quality parts on time at optimal cost
- Lead RFI/RFQ/RFP processes and strategic sourcing for composites manufacturing
- Manage business relationships with Contract Manufacturers, ensuring supply continuity, risk management, and NPI to MP execution
- Partner with Engineering teams and Contract Manufacturers to influence technical design specifications and customize manufacturing requirements
- Perform detailed cost analysis of quote submissions, conducting deep-dive supply chain evaluation and total cost of ownership (TCO) assessments
- Work cross-functionally to support prototype requirements, execute build milestones, and lead sourcing activities
- Influence Contract Manufacturers' processes, capital expenditure decisions, and technology investments
- Negotiate key supplier agreements establishing best-in-class pricing, quality, flexibility, delivery, and service terms
- Provide strong technical direction throughout product lifecycle, evaluating and guiding product strategy
- Lead operations efforts developing new and adapted composites technologies for Anduril products
