Avery Dennison is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Field Service Technician to join our growing remote team. This position offers the unique opportunity to deliver exceptional technical support and maintenance services while working flexibly from your location. As a Field Service Technician, you will be the frontline representative for our clients, ensuring equipment performs optimally and customer satisfaction remains at the highest level.
This remote-friendly role combines on-site client visits with remote diagnostics, troubleshooting, and support capabilities. You'll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing equipment across our customer base, contributing directly to client success and company reputation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on field equipment at customer sites
- Respond to service calls and troubleshoot technical issues with minimal downtime
- Document all service activities, including maintenance records and detailed repair reports
- Communicate technical findings to customers in clear, professional language
- Coordinate with remote support teams to escalate complex issues when necessary
- Maintain accurate inventory of tools, parts, and equipment
- Travel to client locations as required to deliver on-site technical support
- Identify opportunities for preventive maintenance and upselling additional services
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry-standard best practices
- Provide remote technical guidance and support to customers between site visits
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Field Service Technician, HVAC technician, equipment technician, or similar technical service role
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with technical equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for client visits
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and test equipment
- Physical capability to lift equipment, climb ladders, and work in various environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in HVAC, electrical systems, or equipment maintenance
- Experience with remote diagnostics software or cloud-based support platforms
- Previous experience in the manufacturing or industrial equipment sector
- Knowledge of Avery Dennison products or label/packaging industry equipment
- Bilingual capabilities (Spanish preferred)
