The Role
We're seeking an Intermediate Back-End Engineer with solid Python fundamentals, a collaborative mindset, and a drive to grow fast in a high-ownership environment.
You'll join a cross-functional squad working alongside Product Managers, Designers, Front-End, Back-End and QA Engineers to build the world's best Employer of Record platform. As a remote-first team spread across Asia and Europe, you'll collaborate asynchronously across time zones. You'll participate in the full implementation cycle, contribute to technical discussions, and take increasing ownership as you grow.
AI tooling is a first-class part of our workflow—you'll use it to accelerate output and develop sharp judgment about when to trust it and when to push back.
Responsibilities
- Develop and document fast, secure and easy-to-use APIs consumed by front-end and back-end applications
- Build effective integrations with other applications and third-party software
- Participate in the full implementation cycle from design to rollout
- Use AI coding tools (e.g. Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) as a standard part of your workflow, while developing judgment to review and validate generated code
- Collaborate with Engineers and Product Manager to plan and implement new features
- Participate in the Back-End Engineering Chapter and contribute to architecture discussions
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years in a Software Development role
- Solid Python fundamentals
- Experience developing APIs and backend systems
- Ability to work asynchronously across time zones
- Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills
