About This Role

BambooHR is seeking a talented Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our cloud infrastructure. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud-based systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Essential Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure solutions supporting company applications and services
• Collaborate with software developers and system administrators to ensure seamless integration of cloud services into existing infrastructure
• Implement and maintain comprehensive cloud security measures, including access controls, encryption, and monitoring to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry regulations
• Optimize cloud infrastructure performance and cost-effectiveness through continuous monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning
• Automate repetitive tasks and streamline deployment processes using configuration management tools and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues, minimizing downtime and maximizing uptime for critical services
• Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and best practices, evaluating their potential impact on company infrastructure strategy

• Cloud Infrastructure Expertise: In-depth knowledge of cloud implementation principles, practices, and specialized areas
• AI Proficiency: Demonstrated use of AI tools in daily work to accelerate tasks, documentation, and analysis; ability to understand AI-based systems and support teams developing these tools; capability to implement systems that use AI to simplify cloud infrastructure management
• Security & Compliance: Strong understanding of cloud security frameworks, access controls, data encryption, and regulatory compliance requirements
• Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency with IaC tools and configuration management for automating cloud deployments
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to determine root causes, troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, and implement resilient solutions
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with development, operations, and security teams
