💰 $80,000 – $130,000/yr
Job Description
About the Role
dePaz Cabrera Immigration Law is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Bilingual Case Manager to orchestrate client success from initial onboarding through case preparation. This fully remote position is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced legal environments, balancing meticulous administrative work with genuine, empathetic client service. You'll be the bridge between clients and attorneys, ensuring every immigration case starts on solid ground.
About the Organization
dePaz Cabrera Immigration Law focuses exclusively on immigration and nationality law, serving families and employers across Florida and the United States. The firm specializes in a personalized, compassionate approach with prompt, direct client communication. The team handles a full spectrum of immigration matters, including family-based cases, employment-based solutions, citizenship and naturalization, humanitarian options, waivers, consular processing, and deportation defense. Their mission is simple and human-centered: strengthening families and workforces, one immigrant at a time.
Key Responsibilities
- Own Client Onboarding: Review attorney consultation notes and signed representation agreements, identify case types and parties, and create customized document checklists tailored to each case and country of origin.
- System Setup & Configuration: Set clients up in the immigration practice management system, configure questionnaires, language settings, and automated reminders. Send clear, structured initial onboarding emails with timelines and next steps.
- Conduct Zoom Onboarding Meetings: Host video meetings two days after initial contact, answer client questions, align expectations, and establish weekly follow-up cadences during the onboarding phase.
- Coordinate Document Collection: Monitor and review all client uploads for completeness and accuracy, request missing items, and guide clients on acceptable document formats and credible sources.
- Prepare Client-Ready Materials: Draft clear cover letters and assemble presentation-ready case files for attorney review and case preparation teams.
- Maintain Client Communication: Provide consistent, warm, and professional updates throughout the onboarding process, ensuring clients feel informed, supported, and at ease navigating a complex legal process.
What We're Looking For
- Fluent bilingual abilities: Excellent written and verbal English and Spanish communication skills.
- Client-centered mindset: Genuine empathy combined with meticulous attention to detail and organizational excellence.
- Technical comfort: Proficiency with practice management systems, video conferencing (Zoom), and document management tools.
- Problem-solving orientation: You get excited by challenges rather than intimidated. You identify roadblocks and propose solutions proactively.
- Adaptability: Ability to switch seamlessly between document review, client calls, system configuration, and administrative coordination.
- Immigration law familiarity: Preferred—understanding of immigration processes, terminology, and case types enhances performance in this role.
