The Role
As a Full-Stack Software Engineer at Blockstream, you will develop services that empower people to build dynamic and innovative applications on top of Bitcoin. You'll be at the forefront of blockchain technology, contributing to infrastructure that enables the next generation of financial applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and support full-stack applications in continuous integration and deployment environments
- Implement web applications using modern frameworks such as React or Vue.js
- Build and maintain robust APIs using Python and Rust
- Develop and maintain databases and data applications with both SQL and NoSQL technologies
- Write comprehensive unit, functional, and integration test automation
- Contribute to distribution infrastructure and deployment pipelines
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of full-stack application development experience, including web front-ends, HTTP APIs, SQL databases, and DB backends
- System programming experience with Rust
- 2+ years experience with Python
- 2+ years experience with JavaScript and TypeScript
- Proven experience with React or Vue.js frameworks
- Experience building and supporting distribution infrastructure with Docker and Kubernetes
- Excellent communication skills, collaborative team player attitude, and strong collaboration abilities
- Self-motivated mindset with a commitment to continuous learning
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building applications on Bitcoin or other blockchain platforms
- System programming experience with C++
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters
- Familiarity with cryptocurrency protocols and architecture
