Calendly is seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer III to join our Engineering team and make a significant impact on a product used by millions worldwide. You'll report to an Engineering Manager and be responsible for supporting critical features and architecture that maintains user confidence in our platform. What You'll Do
As a Full Stack Engineer at Calendly, you'll work on both building innovative new features and scaling our platform architecture. The Calendly platform is transitioning from a monolith into various microservices, and we need ambitious engineers to drive this transformation. You'll gain hands-on experience with a diverse tech stack while contributing to a service-oriented architecture.
On a typical day, you will be:
- Collaborating within your team to build new features targeted at our highest-impact enterprise customers
- Contributing to platform scaling initiatives and architectural improvements
- Meeting regularly with Product and Design teams to refine requirements and ensure alignment
- Participating in agile ceremonies to plan and execute team deliverables
- Working across squads to improve Engineering practices and standards at Calendly
- Reviewing implementation plans and pull requests from peers to maintain code quality
- Mentoring and coaching other team members to foster technical growth
What You Bring
- 4–6 years of professional software development experience in SaaS or technology-driven environments
- Strong, hands-on full-stack engineering skills with the ability to independently design, build, and ship production changes across frontend and backend systems
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining Node.js services that interface with distributed APIs, LLMs, or similar mixed-stack environments
- Proficiency with modern frontend frameworks, backend technologies, and cloud infrastructure platforms
- Ability to think strategically about system architecture while executing tactically on day-to-day deliverables
- Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills and a passion for continuous learning
Tech Stack
You'll work with a diverse range of technologies including Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Go, TypeScript, Node.js, React, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kubernetes, and Ruby on Rails. Experience with all technologies is not required, but strong fundamentals in full-stack development and cloud-native architecture are essential.
