About the Role

We are seeking experienced and highly motivated engineers to join our DATA Organization and help build the future of data infrastructure at Cloudflare. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining distributed systems that power critical logs and analytics, providing customers with real-time visibility into the health and performance of their online properties.

Our organization is responsible for the entire data lifecycle—from ingestion and processing to storage and retrieval. We handle more than a billion events per second across our platform. As a Distributed Systems Engineer, you will tackle complex challenges across different parts of our data stack, working on high-performance, scalable systems that empower customers to leverage their data for better business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop distributed data delivery pipelines handling massive volumes of data
• Build high-throughput, low-latency systems primarily written in Go
• Contribute to data ingestion, processing, and intelligent routing systems
• Work on analytics and alerting infrastructure components
• Collaborate across the Data Organization's specialized teams
• Solve complex distributed systems challenges at scale

What We're Looking For

Candidates with strong instincts for identifying and solving normalized problems using the latest tools. We value curiosity over bureaucracy and seek engineers who view AI as a partner in solving tough technical challenges. You should have experience building distributed systems and be comfortable with iteration-based development cycles.
