Turnitin LLC is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Business Intelligence & Analytics to lead our analytics initiatives and drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. About the Role

As Director of Business Intelligence & Analytics, you will oversee the complete analytics function, from strategy and architecture to implementation and optimization. You'll partner with executive leadership, product teams, and business units to establish analytics frameworks that enable faster, more informed decision-making. This role offers significant visibility, strategic influence, and the opportunity to build and mentor a high-performing analytics team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Analytics Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive business intelligence strategy aligned with organizational goals and market opportunities
• Build & Mentor Teams: Recruit, develop, and lead a team of data analysts, engineers, and specialists; foster a culture of continuous learning and excellence
• Data Architecture & Infrastructure: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable analytics platforms, data warehouses, and BI tools
• Dashboard & Reporting: Establish standardized KPIs, dashboards, and reporting frameworks that provide real-time visibility into business performance
• Advanced Analytics: Champion predictive modeling, machine learning initiatives, and statistical analysis to drive competitive advantage
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Finance, Marketing, Product, Sales, and Operations to identify analytics opportunities and solve critical business challenges
• Data Governance: Establish data quality standards, security protocols, and compliance frameworks ensuring data integrity and regulatory adherence
• Executive Communication: Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for C-level executives and board stakeholders

Qualifications & Experience

• 8+ years of progressive experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or related analytical roles, with 3+ years in a leadership capacity
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing enterprise-level BI and analytics solutions
• Strong proficiency with modern BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar platforms)
• Experience with data warehousing concepts, SQL, and cloud-based analytics platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Demonstrated ability to build, mentor, and scale high-performing teams
• Strategic mindset with ability to align analytics initiatives with business objectives
• Excellent communication skills; ability to present complex data insights to non-technical audiences
• Track record of driving measurable business impact through data-driven insights
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business Analytics, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
