The Role
As an Enterprise Account Executive covering the US East region, you will drive the full sales lifecycle for Weaviate's vector database and AI platform. This is a high-impact position where you'll build strategic relationships, penetrate key verticals, and generate significant revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full Sales Lifecycle Management: Own the end-to-end sales process from prospecting and lead qualification through complex negotiations and deal closure
- Territory Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement strategic penetration plans targeting key industries including Finance, E-commerce, Healthcare, and Technology sectors
- Solution Selling: Conduct deep discovery calls to identify prospect pain points and articulate how Weaviate's vector search, LLM integration, and AI capabilities deliver competitive advantages
- Community Leverage: Partner with Developer Relations and Marketing teams to convert our extensive open-source community into enterprise opportunities
- Pipeline & Forecast Management: Maintain accurate CRM records (Salesforce/HubSpot) and reliable sales forecasts to drive predictable revenue growth
- Stakeholder Influence: Navigate complex enterprise buying committees and build consensus among technical and business decision-makers
What We're Looking For
Required Experience & Skills:
- 4+ years of B2B SaaS enterprise sales experience, ideally in infrastructure, databases, or AI/ML technologies
- Proven quota achievement and revenue generation track record on the US East Coast with knowledge of regional procurement processes
- Technical fluency with APIs, LLMs, vector embeddings, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)—no development background required
- Exceptional English communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong CRM proficiency and sales methodology training (MEDDIC, SPIN, Challenger, or similar)
- 'Builder' mentality with ability to thrive in startup ambiguity and create original sales playbooks
- High emotional intelligence and proven ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Self-motivated learner passionate about deepening product expertise and advancing enterprise sales career
