About This Role

Avery Dennison is seeking an experienced Group Product Manager to lead the strategic development and commercialization of in-store digital media and Electronic Shelf Label (ESL) solutions. This is a high-impact remote position where you'll drive product innovation, market expansion, and revenue growth across a critical segment of the retail technology landscape.

As Group Product Manager, you will own the complete product lifecycle for digital media and ESL offerings, from market research and strategy through to launch and optimization. You'll work cross-functionally with engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success teams to deliver solutions that help retailers enhance customer experience, improve operational efficiency, and drive profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy & Vision: Define and communicate the product roadmap, vision, and go-to-market strategy for in-store digital media and ESL solutions. Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with engineering, design, and operations teams to translate customer needs into product requirements and technical specifications. Lead product definition, prioritization, and delivery.
  • Customer Insights: Engage directly with key customers, prospects, and industry stakeholders to understand pain points, validate assumptions, and gather feedback. Use data-driven insights to inform product decisions.
  • Go-to-Market Execution: Collaborate with marketing and sales to develop compelling positioning, messaging, and launch campaigns. Ensure sales enablement and customer onboarding support for successful adoption.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish KPIs, track product performance, and analyze metrics to measure success. Drive continuous improvement through experimentation and iteration.
  • Business Development: Identify partnership and acquisition opportunities that strengthen the product portfolio and market position. Evaluate third-party solutions and integrations.
  • Thought Leadership: Represent Avery Dennison at industry conferences, customer events, and media engagements to build brand credibility and market awareness.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of product management experience, with proven success managing B2B or B2B2C technology products
  • 3+ years of experience in retail technology, digital transformation, or related verticals (point-of-sale, inventory management, supply chain, or IoT)
  • Strong understanding of in-store retail operations, merchandising, and digital customer experience trends
  • Demonstrated ability to define and execute product strategy in competitive markets
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum product development methodologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Electronic Shelf Label (ESL) or digital signage technologies
  • Background in hardware-software integrated product management
  • Knowledge of retail IoT ecosystems and connected device management
  • Experience in enterprise SaaS or subscription-based business models
  • MBA or related advanced degree
  • Track record of launching new products or entering new markets
