About the Role
iCapital is seeking a senior sales leader at the Vice President or Senior Vice President level to lead sales coverage across the Midwest Region, specifically Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. This position is part of iCapital's Alternatives Distribution Sales Leadership team and reports directly to the Head of Alternative Investments Distribution. The role focuses on alternative investment product sales and comprehensive financial advisor education across registered investment advisors (RIAs), regional and independent broker dealers, and bank trust clientele.
As a fully remote position based in the Chicago area, this leadership role combines strategic oversight with hands-on client engagement to drive growth in alternative investment adoption across the region's key markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimize existing team client coverage models including segmentation, sales rotation, and asset/wealth manager partnerships to maximize market opportunities
- Execute consultative sales processes to increase alternative investment adoption with existing and new users while delivering world-class service to platform asset holders
- Develop deep sales proficiency across 60+ alternative investment offerings spanning private credit, private equity, real estate, and hedge funds
- Champion local market launch plans for new funds on the platform
- Conduct regular in-market travel to meet with advisors, centers of influence, and clients throughout the region
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in the alternative investment industry in client-facing roles (external wholesaler, capital raising specialist, client portfolio manager, or product specialist)
- Demonstrated expertise in RIA, Independent BD, or Bank distribution segments
- Proven track record building regions using data analytics and CRM systems to inform strategic decisions
- Experience implementing well-defined sales processes and methodologies
- Ability to sell and provide post-sale support for hedge funds, private equity, private credit, and real estate offerings
- Series 7 and Series 63 licenses (required)
- Series 24 license (preferred or must obtain within 90 days of start)
- CAIA certification (required within three years of hire)
Compensation & Benefits
The base salary for this role is $175,000 to $225,000 USD annually. iCapital offers a comprehensive compensation package including equity participation for all full-time employees and annual performance bonuses. Work Environment
