Associate Medical Director, Breast Oncology
Location: Remote (with approximately 40% domestic and international travel)

Shape the future of cancer care as an Associate Medical Director for Oncology at Natera. This strategic leadership role offers an exceptional opportunity to provide medical expertise and clinical guidance for Natera's rapidly expanding oncology portfolio. You will collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams spanning research, development, commercial, and medical affairs to ensure scientific integrity, clinical adoption, and market success of our innovative oncology testing solutions.
Primary Responsibilities
Clinical Development & Strategy
- Collaborate with the Senior Medical Director of Oncology on the clinical development of ctDNA-based diagnostics and precision oncology solutions
- Lead development and implementation of comprehensive clinical strategies for Natera's oncology product portfolio
- Drive clinical trial design, ensuring robust methodologies and regulatory compliance
Medical Education & Scientific Communication
- Oversee medical education initiatives and scientific communication programs targeting healthcare providers
- Partner with commercial teams to develop compelling, evidence-based medical messaging for oncology products
- Create and deliver educational content that advances clinician knowledge and adoption
Industry Representation & Thought Leadership
- Represent Natera at major medical conferences and industry events (both in-person and virtual)
- Foster a culture of scientific excellence and intellectual curiosity within the oncology team
- Establish yourself as a trusted voice in breast oncology and precision medicine
Research, Development & Data Management
- Collaborate with R&D teams on clinical trial design, statistical analysis, and peer-reviewed publication strategy
- Ensure data integrity and scientific rigor across all oncology initiatives
Required Qualifications & Expertise
Medical Credentials
- M.D. or D.O. degree required
- Board certification in Oncology (Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, or related specialty) required
Breast Cancer Expertise
- Strong, specialized knowledge in breast cancer pathology, treatment, and clinical management
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement breast oncology-specific clinical strategies
- Experience providing expert guidance on breast cancer cases and clinical trials
Comprehensive Oncology Knowledge
- Broad understanding of multiple cancer histologies and treatment indications
- Commitment to staying current with latest advancements across the oncology spectrum
- Ability to integrate emerging science into product development and clinical decision-making
Cross-Functional Collaboration
