Sr Staff Cyber Security Engineer (AI)

NBCUniversal is seeking a Senior Staff Cyber Security Engineer specializing in AI to join our growing security team. As a Sr Staff Cyber Security Engineer (AI), you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cutting-edge security solutions that leverage AI and machine learning technologies to protect NBCUniversal's critical assets, infrastructure, and customer data across all platforms and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy AI-driven cybersecurity solutions, including anomaly detection, threat intelligence automation, and predictive security analytics
• Lead security engineering initiatives across cloud environments, on-premises infrastructure, and hybrid deployments
• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices aligned with industry frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls)
• Collaborate with DevSecOps, platform engineering, and application teams to embed security throughout the software development lifecycle
• Conduct threat modeling, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate security risks
• Mentor junior security engineers and contribute to building a strong security culture across the organization
• Monitor security incidents, respond to breaches, and lead post-incident analysis and remediation efforts
• Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, AI/ML security implications, and industry trends

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience, with 3+ years focused on AI/ML security or security automation
• Deep expertise in threat detection, incident response, and security architecture
• Proficiency with security tools: SIEM platforms, EDR/XDR solutions, vulnerability scanners, and log analysis tools
• Strong understanding of cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerized environments (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Experience implementing and managing identity and access management (IAM) solutions
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement security automation and orchestration workflows
• Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
• Relevant certifications preferred: CISSP, CISM, CEH, or AWS Security Specialty

• Experience with machine learning security and AI governance frameworks
• Background in media, entertainment, or content delivery security
• Knowledge of privacy regulations: GDPR, CCPA, and international data protection standards
