Founded by a team of physicians, scientists, entrepreneurs, researchers, and White House advisors, Ophelia is backed by leading technology and healthcare investors committed to reimagining OUD treatment in America.
About the Role
As an Advanced Practice Practitioner (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant), you will be a critical member of Ophelia's care team, delivering compassionate, evidence-based clinical care to patients receiving medication for opioid use disorder and treating related mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, and insomnia.
You will work collaboratively with other clinicians, triage nurses, and administrative care coordinators in a team-based care model that prioritizes patient support and appropriate treatment evolution. In this fully remote position, you'll conduct intake and follow-up visits with patients, serving as both a clinical provider and advocate.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical care to patients with OUD through telehealth appointments
- Conduct patient intake assessments and ongoing follow-up evaluations
- Deliver compassionate, non-stigmatizing treatment and support
- Act as a liaison and advocate for patients throughout their care journey
- Work within an evidence-based, team-based care model
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary clinical and administrative teams
- Ensure patients receive appropriate care as their clinical needs evolve
Ideal Candidate Profile
You are an ideal fit if you:
- Hold a current New Jersey Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
- Have genuine passion for serving vulnerable and underserved populations
- Possess previous experience with medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD), OR are eager and willing to learn these specialized clinical skills
- Seek full-time work in a fast-paced, innovative startup environment
- Are committed to patient-centered, dignity-respecting care
No prior MOUD experience is required—Ophelia provides comprehensive training and support to develop the clinical expertise needed for telehealth-based medication management.
