About This Role
Pathways is seeking dedicated English Language Instructors (ELIC) to join our global teaching community. As an ELIC instructor, you'll deliver high-quality English language education to students worldwide, leveraging modern teaching methodologies and digital tools. This position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere while making a meaningful impact on learners' linguistic and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging English language lessons across multiple proficiency levels (beginner to advanced)
- Create tailored learning materials and assessments aligned with student goals and curriculum standards
- Provide constructive feedback and track student progress through regular evaluations
- Conduct virtual classes synchronously and manage asynchronous learning components
- Maintain detailed student records and contribute to course development initiatives
- Engage with students across diverse cultural backgrounds and learning styles
- Participate in professional development workshops and training sessions
- Collaborate with curriculum specialists and fellow instructors on instructional improvements
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification (preferably in English, Education, or related field)
- Proven teaching experience: minimum 2 years in ESL/EFL or English language instruction
- TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, or equivalent internationally recognized English teaching certification
- Fluent English proficiency with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong digital literacy and comfort with learning management systems and virtual classroom platforms
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to individual learner needs and preferences
- Professional demeanor with excellent time management and organizational skills
