The Role
Pyyne is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with AI expertise to join our rapidly expanding AI Engineering practice. This is a high-impact, remote position working as a consultant for a US-based client from our South American office network. You'll design and implement production-grade RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures integrated with enterprise data environments.
This role combines technical excellence with client engagement—you'll work closely with both the client and internal teams to architect scalable, reliable, and business-oriented AI solutions. The ideal candidate is self-sufficient, capable of designing solutions independently, and thrives in client-facing environments where strong communication is as valued as technical expertise.
What You'll Need
Must-Have Skills:
- Senior-level Python backend engineering experience (4+ years)
- Hands-on experience working with data lakes and data infrastructure
- Proven track record developing solutions in structured, production environments
- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Fluent English (client-facing requirement)
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric data platform
- Prior work building or implementing RAG architectures
- Data pipeline design and implementation experience
- Background in AI-integrated backend systems
