About the Role
We're hiring a Data Analyst to join our small, fast-moving team working with complex criminal justice data. In this full-time position, you'll collaborate across teams to guide work targeting the drivers of incarceration. You'll develop our understanding of the criminal justice system through diverse data sources including raw and processed criminal justice data from across the country, government agency reports, and policy documents.
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform analyses on criminal justice data to identify patterns and opportunities for impact
- Contribute to tooling that improves our data management and analytical workflows
- Drive product launches by ensuring each state deployment has required analytical data
- Contextualize and present analyses to key stakeholders, both internal and external
- Collaborate with government leadership and partners to improve criminal justice outcomes

You bring 2+ years of professional work experience and demonstrate:

Work Location & Travel
This position is remote, with office locations in New York City or Oakland, CA. Travel is encouraged approximately once every 6 months to state partners within the continental USA, with occasional additional trips. These visits may include facilities such as prisons and parole offices.
