Senior IT Project Manager - Enterprise Platforms & Supply Chain in Pharma

About This Role

FusionConsulting is seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead critical enterprise platform and supply chain initiatives within the pharmaceutical industry. This is a high-impact remote position ideal for a strategic leader with deep expertise in managing complex IT projects in regulated environments.

As Senior IT Project Manager, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of enterprise-wide technology initiatives that directly support supply chain operations and business-critical platforms. You'll work across cross-functional teams, manage stakeholder expectations, and ensure projects align with organizational objectives while maintaining compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project lifecycle management for enterprise IT initiatives, from planning and resource allocation through successful delivery and closure
• Manage complex supply chain technology projects, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and minimal operational disruption
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including IT, operations, supply chain, regulatory, and business units to ensure project success
• Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets; monitor progress against KPIs and adjust as needed
• Identify and mitigate project risks, establishing contingency plans and managing change requests
• Ensure all projects comply with pharmaceutical industry regulations, quality standards, and security requirements
• Communicate project status, challenges, and updates to senior leadership and stakeholders at all levels
• Mentor junior project managers and contribute to process improvements within the PMO function
• Manage vendor relationships and third-party integrations for enterprise platform implementations

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of IT project management experience, with at least 3-5 years in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or highly regulated industries
• Proven expertise managing enterprise platform implementations and supply chain technology projects
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements (FDA, GxP, quality systems) and their impact on IT projects
• Advanced proficiency with project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid approaches)
• Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, supply chain management (SCM) platforms, or similar mission-critical systems
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, resources, and timelines in complex environments

Desired Skills & Experience

• Background with supply chain visibility, inventory management, or logistics technology platforms
• Experience with cloud migration projects or digital transformation initiatives in regulated industries
• Knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and document control in pharma environments
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies in enterprise settings
• Previous exposure to cybersecurity and data governance in healthcare/pharma contexts
