FusionConsulting is seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager with deep expertise in infrastructure management and operational technology (OT) security, specifically within the pharmaceutical industry. This is a strategic leadership position for a technology professional ready to drive critical digital transformation and security initiatives in a highly regulated environment.

As a Senior IT Project Manager, you will oversee complex infrastructure modernization projects while ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical regulatory frameworks and OT security best practices. This role bridges business objectives with technical execution, requiring both project management excellence and hands-on knowledge of industrial control systems, network security, and pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Leadership: Plan, execute, and oversee large-scale IT infrastructure projects with budgets, timelines, and stakeholder management across multiple teams and departments
• OT Security Strategy: Develop and implement operational technology security frameworks aligned with FDA, EMA, and industry standards (NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISA/IEC 62443)
• Infrastructure Management: Direct the design, deployment, and optimization of IT infrastructure systems supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing and research operations
• Risk & Compliance: Assess security vulnerabilities in OT environments, manage regulatory compliance documentation, and ensure audit readiness for pharmaceutical operations
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with IT, operations, quality assurance, and manufacturing teams to align infrastructure investments with business-critical requirements
• Vendor & Budget Management: Manage vendor relationships, procurement processes, and project budgets while maintaining cost efficiency and quality standards
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, status reports, and executive dashboards for senior leadership visibility

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of IT project management experience, with 3+ years specifically in infrastructure management or OT security
• Demonstrated experience managing projects in pharmaceutical, life sciences, or highly regulated manufacturing environments
• Strong knowledge of operational technology (OT) security principles and industrial control system (ICS) environments
• Proficiency with project management methodologies (PMP certification preferred; ITIL or Agile experience valued)
• Understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements (FDA Title 21 CFR Part 11, GxP compliance)
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills
• Experience with IT infrastructure technologies: networks, data centers, cloud platforms, cybersecurity systems

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, CISSP, or similar project management/security certification
• Experience with SCADA, DCS, or other industrial control systems
• Background in pharmaceutical manufacturing or biotech operations
• Knowledge of zero-trust security architecture and network segmentation
• Experience with ISO 27001, IEC 62443, or NIST frameworks
