About This Opportunity

FusionConsulting is seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager specializing in SAP integrations for the pharmaceutical industry. This is a fully remote position offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while managing complex, mission-critical enterprise projects. You will lead end-to-end implementation and integration initiatives, overseeing Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) within SAP ecosystems.

This role is ideal for professionals with deep expertise in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, pharmaceutical compliance requirements, and cross-functional team leadership. You'll be at the forefront of digital transformation initiatives, ensuring seamless integration between critical operational systems that directly impact pharmaceutical manufacturing and research operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end SAP integration projects focused on LIMS and MES modules within pharmaceutical environments
• Oversee project scope, timeline, budget, and resource allocation across multiple concurrent initiatives
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including IT, operations, quality assurance, and business stakeholders
• Define and document technical specifications and integration requirements for SAP implementations
• Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical industry regulations (FDA, GxP guidelines, etc.) throughout project lifecycle
• Manage vendor relationships and third-party system integrations
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including risk assessments and mitigation strategies
• Conduct stakeholder communication, progress reporting, and change management
• Identify and resolve technical and operational bottlenecks
• Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) and post-implementation support initiatives

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in IT project management, with at least 5 years focused on SAP implementations
• Proven expertise with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems) integrations
• Proven expertise with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) integrations
• Deep understanding of pharmaceutical industry operations, compliance requirements, and GxP standards
• Strong knowledge of SAP modules including MM (Materials Management), PP (Production Planning), and QM (Quality Management)
• Experience managing projects worth $500K+ in budget
• PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification preferred
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex integrations between multiple enterprise systems
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Technical proficiency with integration tools and APIs

Preferred Qualifications

• Background with pharmaceutical manufacturing systems or life sciences organizations
• Experience with cloud-based SAP solutions (S/4HANA)
• Knowledge of data migration strategies and ETL processes
• Familiarity with agile project management methodologies
• Experience with business process optimization and lean methodologies

Work Environment
