About the Role
FusionConsulting is seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead complex SAP supply chain implementation projects within the pharmaceutical industry. This is a fully remote position that offers the opportunity to work with global clients on mission-critical enterprise resource planning (ERP) initiatives.
As a Senior IT Project Manager specializing in SAP supply chain solutions, you will oversee end-to-end project delivery, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure successful implementation and optimization of SAP systems for pharmaceutical organizations. This role requires deep expertise in supply chain management, combined with strong project management capabilities and an understanding of pharma-specific compliance and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage SAP supply chain implementation projects from initiation through closure
- Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation strategies
- Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain clear communication with C-level executives, business teams, and technical resources
- Oversee SAP module configuration, customization, and integration within supply chain processes
- Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical industry regulations (GxP, FDA, EU guidelines)
- Identify risks and mitigation strategies throughout project lifecycle
- Conduct quality assurance testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) coordination
- Drive team performance, mentoring junior project managers and SAP resources
- Manage project scope, schedule, and budget while maintaining quality standards
- Facilitate knowledge transfer and provide post-implementation support
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of IT project management experience, with at least 5 years managing SAP implementations
- Demonstrated expertise in SAP supply chain modules (MM, IM, WM, or PP)
- Proven experience delivering projects in the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, procurement, inventory management, and logistics
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification preferred
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical compliance frameworks and quality standards
