Polar is the complete data platform built for omnichannel commerce. We connect every data source that brands rely on—Shopify, Amazon, NetSuite, Meta, Google, and Klaviyo—into a single Snowflake warehouse. Our platform layers a commerce semantic layer on top, then adds AI capabilities so operators can ask questions, get answers, and automate workflows without writing SQL.

Founded by alumni from Turo and Airbnb who built data platforms at scale, we're bringing enterprise-grade data sophistication to fast-growing commerce brands. We currently support over 4,000 merchants with zero direct competition offering a better solution. Brands like Quadlock, gorjana, Joseph Joseph, and ARMRA Colostrum trust Polar to power their data operations.

We've recently shipped MCP integrations with Claude and ChatGPT, advanced AI automations, and an AI Data Engineer that builds connectors on demand. Our positioning is clear: we're the data layer enabling agent workflows for commerce. Our customers consistently tell us it feels like the first time they experienced Shopify—transformative and intuitive.

We're a remote-first team running daily standups and shipping weekly. We're transitioning from founder-led intensity to systematic company intensity, which means we need people who can maintain pace autonomously.

The Role

We're hiring engineers who want real ownership in building the data and AI operating system for eCommerce. You'll work on ingesting messy Shopify, ads, and retention data, making it reliable, and turning it into decisions teams can actually trust. This is a full-time remote position where you'll have significant impact on our product and trajectory.
