About the Role

As we expand internationally, we seek a Communications & Growth Partnerships Lead to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention across Africa and LATAM. This role sits at the intersection of channel optimisation, localisation, and commercial partnerships—owning regional communication channels (WhatsApp, SMS, email) and building strategic marketing partnerships to scale our brand footprint and user base efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deal Execution: Identify, negotiate, and manage high-impact marketing partnerships across Africa and LATAM to drive low-cost user acquisition.
  • Campaign Execution: Plan, execute, and track regional activations, including out-of-home (OOH) billboards, payment provider co-marketing, and affiliate networks.
  • Commercial Vendor Management: Source and onboard communication channel partners. Manage Bulk SMS, email, and WhatsApp vendors to ensure high delivery rates and cost optimization.
  • Performance Optimization: Own WhatsApp, SMS, and email channel performance—tracking delivery rates, open rates, CTR, and conversion metrics.
  • Campaign Alignment: Integrate transactional and marketing communications with product launches, brand campaigns, and automated lifecycle journeys.
  • Data & ROI Tracking: Establish KPIs for owned and partner channels. Analyze data to measure ROI, iterate on messaging, and report performance to leadership.
  • Market Adaptation: Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Operations to localise copy, creatives, and campaign mechanics for cultural and regulatory nuances.
  • A/B Testing: Run continuous experiments on messaging tone, timing, and channel mix to determine regional resonance.

  • Hands-on expertise with messaging platforms and lifecycle marketing
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills
  • Experience working across multiple regions and cultures
  • Willingness to travel for local activations and market research in existing and emerging markets
  • Data-driven, execution-focused mindset
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
