Data Analyst (Europe)

About the role

As a Data Analyst at Sporty, you'll mine petabytes of data to provide key insights that drive core business decisions. You'll create dashboards used daily by product managers, traders, and executives, and deliver in-depth reports with complete methodological freedom. Our analysts play a vital role in ensuring reporting infrastructure stability and delivering accurate, consistent reporting to stakeholders.

What you'll be doing

• Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights supporting business decision-making
• Design, define, and monitor core business KPIs to evaluate product and operational performance
• Partner with product, marketing, and business teams to translate business questions into structured data analysis
• Deliver clear, data-driven insights to stakeholders through presentations and reports
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting frameworks enabling self-service analytics
• Conduct ad hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives and emerging business needs
• Ensure data quality and integrity by validating datasets and collaborating with data engineering teams

What you'll bring

• 3+ years experience in a similar data-driven role
• Strong experience working with KPIs and OKRs
• Excellent working knowledge of SQL
• Familiarity with Python and a range of BI and data visualisation tools
• Strong knowledge of ETL data pipelines
• Strong knowledge of A/B testing
• Familiarity with Airflow
• Understanding of relational databases and data warehouse principles
• Proactive, self-driven approach with excellent analytical and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments
• Strong understanding of sports and gaming (beneficial)

• Hands-on experience with machine learning
• Relevant knowledge or experience in the gaming industry
• Working knowledge of Python
• Experience with Airflow and Metabase
