The Role

We're seeking licensed physicians to join our network as Independent Contractor Telehealth Physicians. In this role, you'll provide synchronous video consultations to patients with cardiometabolic conditions. This position focuses exclusively on conducting real-time medical consultations and is ideal for physicians seeking flexible, independent work in the growing telehealth space.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct synchronous telehealth consultations with scheduled patients for cardiometabolic conditions including type 2 diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and hyperlipidemia
• Perform comprehensive medical assessments, review patient histories, and address patient concerns within appointment scope
• Provide evidence-based medical recommendations, prescriptions, and referrals consistent with state licensure and applicable standards of care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient encounters in 9amHealth's electronic health record system
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered virtual care experiences

Required Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Active board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Endocrinology, Cardiology, Obesity Medicine, or related specialty
• Demonstrated experience treating cardiometabolic conditions (type 2 diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, obesity)
• Active medical license in the state(s) where services are provided
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to deliver excellent virtual care
• Prior telemedicine experience preferred
