About This Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Account Executive to join our team in a remote capacity, focused on the Japan market. This is a strategic sales position designed for a seasoned professional who understands enterprise customer management, relationship building, and revenue growth in one of Asia's most important markets.

As a Senior Account Executive, you will be responsible for managing and expanding relationships with key accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and driving revenue targets. This role combines strategic account planning with consultative sales to deliver measurable results for both our clients and the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of assigned accounts, ensuring strong client relationships and satisfaction
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts to drive revenue expansion
  • Develop and execute comprehensive account plans aligned with company objectives
  • Conduct needs assessments and deliver customized solutions to meet client business challenges
  • Prepare and deliver product presentations and demonstrations to stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Negotiate contracts and terms while maintaining profitability and company standards
  • Collaborate with customer success, product, and technical teams to ensure seamless implementation and onboarding
  • Maintain accurate account records and sales pipelines in CRM systems
  • Participate in industry events, networking opportunities, and market research activities in Japan
  • Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets and KPIs
  • Provide regular reporting on account status, pipeline activity, and sales forecasts

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of enterprise account executive or senior sales experience
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales targets and growing account revenue
  • Strong understanding of the Japan business market, cultural nuances, and customer landscape
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English (Japanese language a plus)
  • Experience using CRM platforms and sales management tools
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating across global teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in Japanese language
  • Experience in SaaS, EdTech, or academic integrity solutions
  • Knowledge of Japan's higher education or institutional market
  • Experience with multinational account management
  • Familiarity with enterprise software selling cycles
