What You'll Do

• Work on tickets related to new features, improvements and the ongoing operations of our product
• Write software to a high standard of maintainability and security in accordance with our coding standards
• Implement automated tests, continual deployment, and other appropriate techniques to achieve reliable software
• Maintain a high level of professional skill and keep up to date with relevant technologies and industry directions
• Proactively work with our product team to understand requirements and future product directions, implementing features in accordance with commercial priorities
• Collaborate with other team members and across teams on the design, implementation and operation of our product
• Mentor other engineers and help with interviewing and recruitment

What You'll Need

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
• Experience: 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience
• Python & Web APIs: Proven experience developing web APIs in Python with strong REST architecture knowledge
• Cloud & SaaS: Demonstrated experience working on cloud or SaaS products
• Distributed Systems: Design experience with availability, reliability, and performance considerations in distributed systems
• Message Queues: Working knowledge of message queue systems (e.g., SQS)
• Databases: Hands-on experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL
• Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency with SaaS/Cloud technologies including Amazon Web Services (AWS), CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar
• Testing: Expertise in automated testing practices including unit tests and other testing frameworks
• Technical Leadership: Strong communication skills and ability to mentor junior engineers
