About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Kotlin Developer to join our IBS (Integration & Business Services) team at Inetum. This is a fully remote position offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to innovative backend solutions and enterprise-grade applications.

As a Kotlin Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust server-side applications using Kotlin and related technologies. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions that meet our clients' evolving business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain production-grade Kotlin applications and microservices
Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend services
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following industry best practices
Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other developers to translate requirements into technical solutions
Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of code quality
Troubleshoot and optimize application performance and reliability
Document technical decisions and maintain comprehensive code documentation
Stay current with Kotlin ecosystem developments and emerging technologies
Contribute to system design discussions and architectural decisions
Work with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for efficient deployment

Required Qualifications

3+ years of professional Kotlin development experience
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and functional programming paradigms
Experience with Spring Boot or similar enterprise frameworks
Proficiency in building RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
Solid knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases
Experience with version control systems (Git)
Understanding of software design patterns and SOLID principles
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills and ability to work in distributed teams
Fluent English (written and spoken)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Spring Cloud or cloud-native technologies
Familiarity with Docker and containerization
Knowledge of Kubernetes or container orchestration
Experience with message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka)
Understanding of reactive programming and Project Reactor
Experience with testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, Kotest)
Exposure to CI/CD tools and practices (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
Knowledge of agile development methodologies
