Audio Evaluation Project – Remote Work From Home

About This Project
Help improve AI speech recognition by evaluating audio quality. In this remote, flexible project, you'll listen to pairs of audio recordings and determine which sounds better, clearer, and more natural based on detailed guidelines.
What You'll Do
- Listen to two audio recordings per case
- Compare recordings carefully against project evaluation guidelines
- Select the better-quality audio for each pair
- Maintain consistent judgments across all cases
- Complete approximately 20–23 cases per hour
Compensation & Schedule
- Pay: $1.15 USD per completed case
- Estimated hourly rate: $23–$26.45 USD/hour (based on expected completion rate)
- Workload: 4–6 hours per day
- Duration: Approximately 6 months
- Flexibility: Work-from-home with preferred availability around 9 AM–6 PM in your local time zone
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above
- Native speaker of the target language
- Previous audio evaluation experience
- Previous Appen project experience (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and excellent listening skills
- Ability to follow detailed evaluation guidelines consistently
- Stable working availability and reliable internet connection
- Laptop or desktop computer
How It Works
You will receive two audio recordings for each case. Listen to both and decide which one is better according to the project guidelines. No transcription is required—your role is to compare and select the superior audio sample.
About the Role
This is a project-based, independent contractor opportunity through CrowdGen. Upon selection, you'll receive an email to create your CrowdGen account, set up your profile, and complete project onboarding.
