Ashby, a rapidly growing all-in-one recruiting platform, is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and scale our engineering organization. As we double our engineering team over the next year, we need a talented leader who combines strong technical expertise with people management skills to maintain our exceptional culture and delivery pace.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Manage 3–5 engineers and hire 3–5 more across multiple teams, specializations including Product Engineers, Site Reliability Engineers, and Design Engineers
• Technical Mentorship: Provide feedback on product and technical specs; coach ICs to make high-quality decisions while building their judgment and scope-management skills
• Hands-On Engineering: Stay current by debugging customer issues, shipping bug fixes, and improving developer experience—without blocking critical deliverables
• Department Initiatives: Design and lead company-wide improvements such as pull request review processes, interview design, and technical simulation frameworks
• Scaling Culture: Work closely with co-founder and VP of Engineering Abhik Pramanik and peer leaders to maintain engineering excellence as the team grows
