About the Role

Canva is seeking a Creative Director to lead the creative vision for AI-powered photography and video products. This is a leadership position responsible for directing creative strategy, visual design, and user experience across innovative AI tools that empower millions of creators globally.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead creative direction and strategy for AI photography and video features
• Oversee visual design, user experience, and creative assets across products
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and marketing teams to translate creative vision into shipped features
• Guide and mentor creative team members
• Ensure brand consistency and creative excellence across all deliverables
• Conduct user research and iterate based on feedback

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Creative Director or similar leadership role in design/creative
• Strong portfolio demonstrating AI product design, photography, or video expertise
• Deep understanding of modern creative tools and workflows
• Leadership and mentorship experience
• Strategic thinking with ability to balance creativity and business objectives
• Experience in fast-paced, innovation-driven environments
