About the Role
Canva is seeking a Motion Designer for a 6-month contract position. This is a remote opportunity open to candidates based in Indonesia or worldwide, depending on eligibility.
As a Motion Designer at Canva, you will create compelling animated content and visual effects that enhance user experience across our design platform. You will collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to bring creative concepts to life through motion graphics and animation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and produce high-quality motion graphics and animations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute creative briefs
- Develop animations optimised for web and mobile platforms
- Iterate on designs based on user feedback and performance metrics
- Maintain consistency with Canva's design language and brand guidelines
What We're Looking For
- Proven portfolio demonstrating motion design and animation expertise
- Proficiency in animation software (e.g., After Effects, Cinema 4D, or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of motion principles, timing, and visual storytelling
- Experience designing for digital platforms and user interfaces
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
