Charlie Health connects people to life-saving behavioral health treatment through personalized, virtual care. We address barriers to mental health, substance use, and eating disorder treatment by delivering compassionate, community-focused care from home.
About the Role
We're seeking a motivated Care Coach to advocate for mental health and support clients' sustainable healing journeys. You'll provide empathetic validation, motivation, and encouragement to help clients engage meaningfully in therapy and treatment programming.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct 1:1 peer discussions via secure platforms to align clients with treatment goals and ensure programming attendance
- Deliver skill-based interventions to stabilize clients during moments of heightened stress
- Perform risk screenings and safety planning, escalating to crisis clinicians when indicated
- Maintain engagement as an ongoing resource throughout treatment
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (earned or in senior year) in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or related mental health field, or relevant certifications (Certified Peer Specialist—national or state accredited)
- 2nd year Master's students preferred
- For Virginia applicants: Virginia PRS or FSP certification and registration required
Preferred Experience
- 1+ years working as mental health peer support, mentor, skills trainer, or mental health associate
- Expertise working with young adults and adolescents in individual and group settings (inpatient, IOP, PHP, or RTC)
