Key Relationships Officer (Remote - Southeast, U.S.)

About the Role

As a Key Relationships Officer at charity: water, you'll cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with prospects and existing donors for both Water Projects and Operations. You'll spend most of your time building meaningful relationships by visiting supporters virtually and in person, communicating organizational priorities, and growing their giving over time. You'll report to the Associate Director of Key Relationships and work closely with the Key Relationships team, Experience Lab team, and wider organization to directly contribute to revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a robust portfolio of major gift supporters capable of donating $25K+ annually, raising $2M+ in total annual revenue once fully onboarded
• Provide strategic stewardship support to local executive leaders and fundraisers, advancing cultivation within high-capacity portfolios
• Cultivate long-term relationships with individuals and families, encouraging participation at increased levels and optimizing lifetime value
• Visit regularly both in person and virtually with donors throughout your assigned Southeast region
• Serve as on-site point-of-contact for The Experience Lab in Franklin, TN for high-capacity donors ($10K+)
• Deliver exceptional donor experience through personal rapport, timely stewardship updates, active listening, and surprise-and-delight elements
• Provide timely thank you notes, progress reports, and completion reports for all supporters
• Partner with Prospect Development Manager to identify and cultivate major donor prospects from monthly and mid-level donors
• Support planning and execution of major donor events showcasing the charity: water mission

Requirements

• Must be based in the Southeastern United States
• Eligible to work in the United States without requiring company sponsorship now or in the future
• Strong external and internal communication skills with ability to navigate social and relational dynamics
• Willingness to travel regularly throughout assigned region
