About the Role
Charlie Health is seeking a motivated Care Coach to advocate for mental health and support clients on their healing journeys. You will provide empathetic, validating support while encouraging clients to engage meaningfully in therapy and treatment programming.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage clients in 1:1 peer discussions via secure platforms to align with treatment goals and ensure programming attendance
- Deliver skill-based interventions to stabilize clients during moments of heightened stress
- Conduct risk screenings and safety planning, escalating to crisis clinicians as indicated
- Remain a consistent resource throughout treatment to maintain client engagement
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (earned or in senior year) in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or related social/mental health field
- Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) certification (national or state-accredited) OR equivalent relevant certification
Preferred Qualifications
- 2nd year Master's students in related field
- 1+ years experience as a mental health peer support specialist, mentor, skills trainer, or mental health associate
- Previous expertise working with adolescents and young adults in inpatient, IOP, PHP, or RTC settings
- For Virginia applicants: Virginia PRS or FSP certification and registration
