About the Role
The Billing Representative is a critical Collections team member responsible for ensuring assigned healthcare facilities pay invoices promptly. You'll manage cash flow by proactively contacting workplaces via phone and email, securing payment commitments, and removing payment obstacles through cross-functional collaboration with Billing Disputes, Sales, and Customer Support.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor accounts to identify and track outstanding debts
- Contact accounts payable administrators via phone and email regarding overdue and upcoming payments
- Build strong relationships with healthcare facilities by setting clear billing expectations and explaining NET & Dispute Terms
- Identify root causes of non-payment and resolve billing concerns
- Report on collections updates and accounts receivable status
- Identify critical accounts and develop SMART action plans to address payment issues
Required Skills & Experience
- Professional, clear communication (verbal and written)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Coachable mindset with receptiveness to feedback
- Comfortable with math and financial calculations (e.g., payment plan installments)
- Ability to build and maintain customer relationships
- Preferred: Google Drive suite, Slack, Salesforce, and soft phone software (Amazon Connect)
This role requires strong organizational skills, problem-solving ability, and the capacity to work independently while collaborating across teams to achieve collections goals.
