About the Opportunity

• Duration: 10 months (full-time)
• Location: Remote within California (with regular regional travel expected)

As a Community Engagement Coordinator, you'll play a critical role in advancing Vision 2030 by supporting climate action and sustainability initiatives across California's higher education system. You'll work at the intersection of climate resilience, higher education, and institutional transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to California community colleges completing the AASHE STARS sustainability assessment and reporting framework
• Help campuses measure progress and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in sustainability practices
• Collaborate with college leaders, faculty, staff, and statewide partners to advance equitable, resilient, and sustainable campus practices
• Support statewide program implementation and climate action planning across the nation's largest higher education system (2.2 million students, 116 colleges)
• Engage in stakeholder engagement and institutional transformation initiatives
