Data Analyst (Portuguese)

About This Role

Lightcast, a leader in economic and labor market intelligence, is seeking a detail-oriented, data-driven Data Analyst with strong Portuguese language proficiency to support the expansion of our global product features. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring we deliver accurate, high-quality data to our customers worldwide by analyzing multilingual outputs, improving classification performance, and supporting taxonomy translation and parser development.

This is a full-time independent contractor position offering 40 hours per week for up to 8 months. As a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) role, you'll have the flexibility to use your own laptop while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze multilingual data outputs to identify quality issues and inconsistencies
• Support the improvement of classification algorithms and performance metrics
• Contribute to taxonomy translation efforts, ensuring accuracy and cultural relevance for Portuguese-speaking markets
• Assist in parser development and testing for data extraction and processing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions
• Document findings and provide actionable recommendations for data quality improvements
• Validate and quality-assure processed datasets before delivery to customers

Required Qualifications

• Fluent Portuguese language skills (written and verbal)
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar data-focused role
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment
• Experience with data analysis tools and methodologies
• Familiarity with multilingual data processing is a plus
