Senior Java Developer - French Speaking
Inetum2 is seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer with French language proficiency to join our growing remote team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled backend engineer to contribute to meaningful projects while working flexibly from anywhere in the world.
About the Role
As a Senior Java Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust Java-based applications and systems. You will work on complex technical challenges, lead code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to architectural decisions that shape our technology stack. This position requires both deep technical expertise and the ability to communicate effectively with French-speaking stakeholders and team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable Java applications using modern frameworks and best practices
- Write clean, maintainable code and conduct thorough code reviews
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, QA engineers, and other developers
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance
- Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical strategy
- Mentor and support junior developers in their professional growth
- Document technical specifications and maintain knowledge base
- Engage with French-speaking clients or internal teams for requirements gathering and communication
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional Java development experience
- Fluent in French (written and spoken) - essential for this role
- Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming principles
- Experience with modern Java frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, or similar)
- Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
- Knowledge of software design patterns and SOLID principles
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Background in Agile/Scrum development methodologies
- Exposure to API development and REST principles
