About the Role
Inetum2 is seeking an experienced Systems Operator 24x7 to join our global remote team. This is a critical infrastructure role responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and supporting IT systems around the clock. As a 24/7 systems operator, you will be the backbone of our operational continuity, ensuring that all systems run smoothly across multiple time zones and handle various technical challenges as they arise.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor system performance and health across the entire IT infrastructure 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- Respond promptly to system alerts, incidents, and operational issues with appropriate troubleshooting and escalation
- Perform routine system maintenance, patches, and updates while minimizing downtime
- Maintain detailed logs and documentation of all system activities, incidents, and resolutions
- Collaborate with development, network, and security teams to ensure seamless operations
- Manage backup and disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity
- Identify opportunities for system optimization and performance improvements
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and stakeholders
- Maintain compliance with security policies and operational procedures
- Conduct regular system audits and generate performance reports
Required Skills & Experience
- Systems Administration: Proven experience managing enterprise-level IT infrastructure and operating systems (Linux, Windows Server, or similar)
- 24x7 Operations: Demonstrated ability to work shift-based schedules and maintain alertness during night shifts
- Incident Response: Strong troubleshooting capabilities and experience responding to critical system incidents
- Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with system monitoring platforms, SIEM tools, and performance management software
- Networking Knowledge: Understanding of networking concepts, firewalls, and connectivity protocols
- Server Management: Experience with server administration, virtualization platforms, or cloud infrastructure
- Documentation: Excellent written communication skills for creating and maintaining system documentation
- Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose complex technical issues and implement effective solutions under pressure
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automation scripting (Bash, Python, or PowerShell)
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- ITIL certification or similar operational framework training
- Background in helpdesk or NOC (Network Operations Center) environments
- Familiarity with containerization technologies and microservices architecture
