Before working abroad

  1. 1Confirm that your employer or clients permit work from this country.
  2. 2Identify who remains responsible for payroll, social security and employment compliance.
  3. 3Check immigration permission before booking long-term accommodation.
  4. 4Assess tax residence, treaty residence, permanent establishment and local registration.
  5. 5Arrange compliant health insurance and an emergency plan.
  6. 6Keep contracts, payslips, bank statements and proof of accommodation accessible.
