About the Role
Inetum2 is seeking an experienced Healthcare Interoperability Expert Consultant to join our remote team. In this specialized role, you will leverage your deep expertise in healthcare data standards and interoperability frameworks to design, implement, and optimize solutions that enable seamless communication between healthcare systems and applications.
As a healthcare interoperability consultant, you will work at the intersection of clinical requirements and technical architecture, ensuring that healthcare organizations can effectively exchange patient data, improve care coordination, and maintain compliance with international standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect healthcare interoperability solutions using HL7 and FHIR standards
- Consult with healthcare organizations on implementing standardized data exchange protocols
- Develop integration strategies that improve system interoperability and reduce technical silos
- Provide expert guidance on FHIR resource modeling and implementation best practices
- Conduct healthcare data standards assessments and gap analyses
- Support clients in achieving interoperability compliance and certification requirements
- Create technical documentation, mapping specifications, and integration guides
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure proper implementation of healthcare standards
- Stay current with evolving healthcare interoperability standards and industry regulations
Required Qualifications
- Advanced expertise in HL7 v2, HL7 v3, and/or FHIR standards
- Proven consulting experience in healthcare IT interoperability projects
- Strong understanding of healthcare data structures, workflows, and regulatory requirements
- Experience with healthcare integration platforms and middleware solutions
- Knowledge of healthcare compliance frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Problem-solving mindset with ability to identify and resolve complex interoperability challenges
