About This Role
Join Lightcast as a Field Marketing Manager specializing in Education & Public Sector markets. This is a strategic marketing position designed for a results-driven professional who excels at translating market insights into compelling campaigns, events, and customer engagement initiatives. You'll play a crucial role in driving awareness, building pipeline growth, retaining customers, and identifying expansion opportunities across the United States and Canada.
This remote position offers the autonomy to work from anywhere while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The Field Marketing Manager will be the bridge between Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success—ensuring alignment on priorities and delivering measurable business outcomes that directly impact company growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Campaign Development & Execution: Design and implement targeted marketing programs and campaigns tailored to Education and Public Sector verticals. Develop campaigns that resonate with decision-makers in these sectors and drive qualified pipeline growth.
- Market Awareness & Engagement: Create strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement within your assigned markets. Leverage content marketing, digital channels, events, and partnerships to build market presence.
- Pipeline Growth: Work closely with Sales teams to develop marketing initiatives that generate qualified leads and accelerate deal cycles. Track metrics and optimize campaigns based on pipeline contribution and conversion rates.
- Customer Retention & Expansion: Develop programs to increase customer satisfaction, retention, and upsell/cross-sell opportunities. Support customer success initiatives with targeted engagement campaigns.
- Event Strategy & Management: Plan and execute virtual and in-person events, webinars, conferences, and customer roundtables. Manage event logistics, promotion, follow-up, and ROI analysis.
- Content Creation & Market Intelligence: Translate market research and priorities into compelling content, case studies, whitepapers, and thought leadership pieces. Develop messaging frameworks that address specific market pain points.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing leadership on strategy, Sales leadership on pipeline priorities, and Customer Success teams on retention initiatives. Communicate regularly on performance metrics and market feedback.
- Performance Measurement: Establish KPIs, track campaign performance, and provide regular reporting on awareness metrics, pipeline contribution, customer engagement, and ROI.
What We're Looking For
- Marketing Expertise: 3+ years of B2B field marketing, demand generation, or product marketing experience in enterprise software or SaaS environments.
- Education & Public Sector Knowledge: Preferred experience marketing to education institutions, government agencies, or public sector organizations. Understanding of procurement processes and decision-making structures in these sectors is a plus.
- Campaign Management Skills: Proven ability to develop, execute, and optimize multi-channel marketing campaigns from conception through measurement.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong data analysis and reporting skills. You're comfortable working with marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and analytics tools to measure performance and optimize campaigns.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Product teams toward shared objectives.
- Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and initiatives simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think beyond tactics and develop market strategies aligned with business goals. Experience translating market insights into actionable marketing strategies.
- Remote Work Excellence: Self-motivated with strong time management and communication skills. Comfortable working asynchronously with geographically distributed teams.
